We took Megan to the dentist this morning. She did a great job letting them look at her teeth and brush them with a little toothbrush. She wasn't as cooperative when they brought out the spinny, electric toothbrush, and we decided to skip the fluoride application because by that point she was about ready to be done in the chair, but she didn't do too bad for a first visit. She looks more nervous in this first photo than I think she really was. They also gave her a pair of cheapy sunglasses to wear if she didn't want their bright light shining in her eyes. She got to pick out a new toothbrush and a sticker afterward, so she was a happy camper. And no cavities!
A glimpse of the comings and goings of our family, and especially our two daughters.

21 weeks
I'll actually be 23 weeks on Saturday, but here is my 21-week picture. We've been so busy with things like travel and vacation Bible school at church that I haven't had as much time to post lately.
I had to ask Josh to snap a photo of all of us in the rocker in Megan's room the other evening. This is where Megan and I read bedtime stories, and Hildegard often insists on joining us. It's getting crowded!

Beach Day
Here are the last of our pictures from our visit to Indiana. We spent an afternoon at Lake Michigan.
And we couldn't leave town without letting Megan blow on grandpa's trombone.

Bellaboo's
During our visit with my parents, we went to Bellaboo's in Northwest Indiana. It's a play center/children's museum type of place similar to St. Louis' Magic House, but minus the Magic House's insane crowds. Here are some photos from our morning there. We took my brother and sister-in law's little boy, Levi, with us.
Here's Megan in the face-painting area. She painted her own face a little, and Josh helped her paint a heart and a letter M on her cheek. She really didn't care for the face paint and washed it off quickly.
Josh and me with baby Levi!
Me with Levi, who is wearing a hat and chewing on a saw in the construction toy room.
Grandma, Levi, and Megan in the water play room.
Levi thought the balls in the baby area were tasty.
And he loved looking at himself in the big mirror in the baby area.
This area with slides, a ball pit, and stuff to climb on was Megan's favorite.
Checking out the kid-sized pizza parlor.
And having fun in the dress-up area.

Indiana visit
We visited my parents this past week. Lots more pictures to come. For now, here's Megan hanging out with grandpa.
Megan loved playing with her cousin, Levi, and liked to put his pacifier in and out of his mouth.
And we took some nice family pictures outside mom and dad's church.

It's a girl!
We had our 20-week ultrasound yesterday. All looks well, and we learned that Megan will be getting a sister.
The last two pictures are of the feet ... and the girl parts.

19 weeks
Here's my ever-growing bump.
We hosted Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Bill on Memorial Day. I made my mom's taco salad recipe because Grandma Cathy likes it and requested it, and we made homemade lemonade with lemons, sugar, and water. Megan likes to help me squeeze the lemons.
