Indianapolis Children's Museum

Here are some photos from our visit to the Indy area in mid-July. This was our day at the children's museum. The first exhibit we looked at was about dinosaurs, and here's Megan watching a paleontologist at work. Notice the photographer in the background. He works for USA Today and included our family in some of his photos, so he asked for our names and hometown. Our picture didn't run, but here's a link to the article: http://yourlife.usatoday.com/mind-soul/doing-good/story/2011/07/Familys-meaningful-vacations-make-an-impact/49545960/1

Megan liked sitting in the dinosaur nests.

Exploring the Egyptian archaeological area.

We sat on this slowly rotating seat and looked up at a glass exhibit on the ceiling, done by an artist named Chihuly.

More Chihuly glass stuff.

Megan enjoyed the Dora and Diego play area.

They had a nice exhibit on life in Egypt. Here are Josh and Megan flying to Egypt.

An Egyptian taxi.

The marketplace in Egypt.

Coffeehouse in Egypt.

The museum had another exhibit on children who have made a difference. This was a recreated model of Ruby Bridge's classroom from the school desegregation era.

Megan couldn't wait to ride the carousel on the top floor.

The funhouse maze area!
